Catch dance, theatre and live music in the Picnic Pavilion. If you are more of a hockey fan, join the 9- foot-tall team of Canada’s most kooky players – “Duh Hockey Guys.”

The Vancouver International Writers Festival takes place in intimate, interactive and informal settings on Granville Island, featuring luminaries such as Margaret Atwood, Timothy Findley, John Irving, Alice Munro, JK Rowling, and Carol Shields. Special events include Spreading the Word, the largest children's literary event in Canada. Corporate and private support helps provide subsidized tickets to children, seniors and students.
